All White with Laura

Laura and I wanted to do a shoot where we only used the color white.  We had attempted this several years ago in my garage but didn’t succeed with the lighting.  Too much light was spilling on my subject, especially when using white clothes.    With the help of some friends I was able to figure out what needed to be done in order for no spill to happen.  Here are some shots from this session with Laura in all white.

There’s still lots more to learn about controlling the light and dialing the right exposure.   Thanks to Laura for stepping in front of my camera.

Fear and Loathing with Chelsea

Chelsea and I wanted to do a shoot that was inspired by Hunter Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.   Lucky for us we didn’t have to travel far.  In fact we shot this in our backyard of San Francisco at a friends house who looks like your back in the 70’s.

more to come from this shoot since we did 3 different wardrobes.

In the fields with Cassandra

Cassandra is one of my favorites to work with.  She’s very sweet and you really can’t take a bad photo of her.   This shoot took place in one of her favorite places to take a stroll in city of Carmel by the Sea.

more to follow from this set.

Mount Tamalpais

“Hiking is a bit like life:
The journey only requires you to put one foot in front of the other…again and again and again.
And if you allow yourself the opportunity to be present throughout the entirety of the trek,
you will witness beauty every step of the way,
not just at the summit”

James

James Mancusi is a good friend of mine who also happens to be a photographer as well.  We met at our workplace (we both work in surgery) and soon we realized we both had one thing in common.  The passion for photography.  We’ve been friends over 8 years now and I couldn’t be more thankful for the friendship I have with him.  Here’s a photo I took of him during one of the many shoots we’ve collaborated together.

My Future

We teach our children to never judge anyone by their skin color or race. That the beauty in life is that we all are different.

Life is about creating yourself
